Febecoop, a non-profit organization with the mission to defend and promote cooperative entrepreneurship and projects, aimed to give a new lease of life to its website, which had become completely outdated.
The major challenge was to get the two regional entities (Febecoop Wallonia-Brussels and Febecoop Flanders-Brussels) and the federal entity to agree on a common structure. Multiple exchanges with stakeholders from both regions, attentive listening from the AD team, and excellent compromises from the three entities allowed us to create a multisite that exactly meets the organization’s needs.

Febecoop is divided into three entities to be present across the entire Belgian territory. Therefore, the workshops were conducted in two languages to ensure that the different stakeholders could agree on the direction for their future multisite. It was also an opportunity to discover their economic model, understand the differences between the entities, and grasp the strengths and weaknesses of each. This challenge was successfully met, despite the differing visions among the entities. It became clear that the reflection needed to start from the target audiences to integrate them more into the overall dynamic and to better prioritize the information.
The goal was to validate a structure and a visual identity common to the three sites, thus reinforcing Febecoop’s mission and enhancing its activity at the national level, gaining recognition and attracting new members. It was a long process but necessary to provide their visitors with intuitive and pleasant navigation.
To “dress” a site and make it live authentically, we often “make it up” with photos or videos that come from the client or are specially made for them. In this specific case, Febecoop did not have any visuals, and it was difficult to produce them in the midst of the Covid period. So, we had a simple idea: create a series of colorful illustrations on the theme of cooperation. A solution that discreetly addressed the lack of visuals and has the advantage of not needing regular updates.
The trap was to fall into overly broad communication, preventing the right message from getting across and defining the organization’s real needs. Thanks to our strategic and creative team and Febecoop’s good collaboration on the project, they now benefit from an animated, highly organized, and user-centered multisite. Users can easily navigate and find all the information and tools they need with just one click. Febecoop’s image now reflects modernity, innovation, and expertise at all levels!
